Defining company values is easy when they describe who we already are!
We love what we do at A Life in a Day, but we all bring different perspectives and skills to the party, to develop and deliver our unique experiences.
We wanted to capture, in words, who we are as a team, to reflect our purpose and the way we enjoy working together every day.
In our own words…
Because we wanted our values to describe who we already are, we developed them in collaboration with the entire team, beginning with a workshop where we explored what we all believe makes us great at what we do and why we love working together.
In that first session it quickly became clear that we are all already aligned, so it was just the ‘simple’ matter of distilling the outputs, to create a succinct set of values that we can rally behind and drive forward together.
Deeper Insights. Better Outcomes.
We all have a long-shared belief that deeper insights into patients’ lives lead to better outcomes for patients, for our clients, and for our own growth as a company.
Similarly, we know that the more we understand each other, the better we can relate, support one another and do great things together.
Practicing what we preach…
Throughout our A Life in a Day experiences, we invite our participants to Feel, Think, Act and Speak like a person living with a condition.
We realised that mirroring this (how WE feel, think act and speak) would give us an ideal framework for our values, that is embedded in the DNA of A Life in a Day.
We also know that who we are on the inside (how we feel and think) reflects what we do on the outside (how we act and speak).

We know that what we’re doing is important, we care passionately about our work and are there for each other.

We’re persistent in finding solutions, we stay curious and enjoy constantly improving our products and processes.

We make deliberate choices with the end goal in mind and follow through with intention.

We share opinions honestly, listen and invite feedback, and create a culture of empathy and empowerment.
Statements of intent
To make our values meaningful, we reconvened as a team. It came as no surprise that many of the things we’re already doing supported the sentiments, but in the spirit of thinking tenaciously and acting purposefully, we explored a wide range of ways to embed the values even deeper into our day-to-day.
So why does any of this matter to us or to our clients, partners, and industry peers?
Because our values aren’t just words. They shape outcomes. They guide how we collaborate, how we approach challenges, and how we create experiences that truly resonate.
For our team, these values celebrate the culture we’ve built together.
For our clients and partners, they’re a window into our approach, our priorities, and our commitment to meaningful impact.
