We’re excited to share something that reflects not only how far we’ve come, but where we’re heading: our new ethos – Deeper Insights. Better Outcomes.
You may have already seen it making an appearance at a few industry events recently – a sneak preview, if you will. Today, we’re officially launching it, and we wanted to take a moment to tell you why this evolution means so much to us, and what it represents for the future of A Life in a Day.
Why the Change?
As we’ve grown, so has our mission. What started as an ambitious idea to foster greater empathy in healthcare has become recognized as a global movement that’s helping reshape how the healthcare industry connects with patients – not just in mindset, but in practice.
Not only has our team continued to expend in recent years – so too has our portfolio of therapy area experiences – each one carefully crafted in partnership with patients, to reflect the daily realities of living with a condition. Externally, we’ve empowered thousands of individuals around the world – from pharmaceutical professionals to healthcare providers, from students to policymakers – to truly walk in the shoes of patients. And the feedback has been transformative.
We’ve used a few taglines over the years, many of them focused on putting the patient first. And while that ethos still underpins everything we do, we felt it was time to go a step further. As we’ve evolved, we’ve come to see that A Life in a Day isn’t just about increasing awareness. It’s a catalyst for meaningful, measurable change.
Our new tagline reflects that.
So, Why Deeper Insights, Better Outcomes?
Let’s break it down.
Deeper Insights

These aren’t surface-level observations. Deeper insights speaks to the depth and authenticity of the stories we co-create with our patient community.
By working side-by-side with patients and carers, we’re granted a rare window into their everyday lives – the fears, frustrations, triumphs and trade-offs that rarely show up in data or textbooks. These insights are not theoretical; they’re real, lived, and often deeply emotional, and the foundation of the experiences we create.
Better Outcomes
But insight alone isn’t the goal. It’s what people do with it that matters.
Every day, we see how these immersive experiences spark better decisions, better policies, and ultimately, better outcomes. And those outcomes aren’t limited to the individual taking part in the experience.
- Pharma Professionals
We’ve heard so much brilliant feedback from pharmaceutical teams that, after participating in A Life in a Day, approach their work with a renewed sense of purpose. This impact has gone on to translate into changes and impact on the business such as improved clinical trial design to faster product launches. One participant told us that after their experience, they made immediate changes to how they communicated trial information – and saw better patient engagement as a result. - Healthcare and Beyond
It’s not just pharma who see the better outcomes. Healthcare professionals, students, even politicians – they’re all part of the picture. After joining an experience, clinicians have changed their clinical practice and adjusted how they manage care for their patients based on the visceral experience they went through. Politicians have reported back that the experience has helped them reprioritise healthcare on their agendas. We’ve seen journalists use their newfound empathy to drive disease awareness campaigns on a national scale. All of these and more are because they experienced what it’s like to live with a condition. - Patients
And at the heart of it all – the patient. The true beneficiaries of these better outcomes.
We’ve seen real-world changes following A Life in a Day experiences. Adjustments in treatment plans that better reflect a patient’s routine. More inclusive and accessible educational resources. And faster access to medication, enabled by more thoughtful planning and accelerated development. These are not just ‘nice to haves’. They’re life-changing improvements.
And here’s a little Easter egg for you – if you look closely, you’ll notice our tagline carries a message within the message: the more you put IN, the more you get OUT. Deeper INsights. Better OUTcomes. It’s a principle that we live by.
What Does It All Mean?
This new tagline is more than just words. It’s an evolution of our brand identity – a reflection of the journey we’ve been on, and the ambition that drives us forward.
But make no mistake: we’re not leaving anything behind. Our core mission remains the same – to build understanding, to inspire empathy, and to integrate the patient voice meaningfully throughout the drug development process and beyond.
We believe the healthcare industry is at its best when it listens – really listens – to the people it’s trying to help. With your support, A Life in a Day is making that listening more powerful than ever.
