Last summer, our team grabbed the opportunity to work with London Play Design, a remarkable volunteer organisation dedicated to creating safe and stimulating play spaces for children.
Over one hot summer day in 2024, we dug up and fixed old fenceposts, replaced weathered, splintered benches for new, and resulted in a playground looking brand new and popping with vibrant colours – as is the A Life in a Day way!
In addition to giving us the feeling of a job well done, we have been honoured to be recognised at London Play Design’s award ceremony, receiving a nomination for Best Overall Volunteer Performance Award. As a company dedicated to making concerted efforts to drive a better world, this resonates with the importance and impact of what we are do, especially from a sustainability perspective.
Although we did not win, we had the opportunity to see the results of our hard work including some feel-good stories from children who use the renovated sites and other volunteers working to make the world a better place.
As a company that sees value in empathy from a corporate and social perspective, we believe that we all have a responsibility to contribute to ‘making things better for us all’.
