If you follow us on social media or have subscribed to our newsletter you will know that ‘helping you put the patient first’ is our motto and ethos. But it is much more than that however, as putting patients at the heart of what our industry does is about empathy, care, and creating a positive impact that impacts everybody.
This June, we extended that philosophy beyond what we do in pharma and healthcare and into the heart of our community with a special team-building day focused on team-building and sustainability.

We swapped our usual routine for hammers, drills, and power washers and (we won’t deny it) a little bit of playtime. Supporting London Play Design, a volunteer organisation dedicated to creating safe and stimulating play spaces for children, the team jumped at the chanced to unleash our inner child while contributing to a project with a lasting positive community impact.
The project itself was a local playground that was in need of a little care. The climbing frame creaked, benches needed a fresh lick of paint, and the stairs had definitely seen better days. With guidance from the team at London Play Design, our team got stuck in with a collective sense of purpose.
There’s something undeniably rewarding about working together towards a goal such as seeing a better playground for our community, whether it is sanding down rough play equipment edges or building a new play ramp for children, everyone had a singular goal in mind. This reminded the team of our post-experience debriefs where we bring together professionals to understand and share their experiences of living a life in a day of a chronic condition – leading to some amazing outcomes.
The experience resonated deeply with the team’s core values. As a company dedicated to putting patients first, we understand the importance of empathy and care. Creating a safe environment for children to thrive in aligns perfectly with this concept, fostering a sense of wellbeing and positivity for both the children and team alike.

In volunteering our time and skills, we weren’t just building a playground, we were making a change in people’s lives. It is easy to get caught up in the process of the work but we took the time out to consider the impact a fresh coat of paint or tidied garden can provide for others.
This initiative was more than just a one-off event. It is a reflection of our commitment to making a positive difference. It is an understanding that a successful business benefits from coming together to contribute to the wellbeing of the communities they operate in and support. We’re excited to explore new opportunities to leverage our newfound building skills and enthusiasm to drive lasting change.
After all, putting the patient first can extends beyond the walls of a hospital or office. It’s about fostering a world where everyone, from our stakeholders to the patients we serve, have the opportunity to thrive.
Thanks again to London Play Design for giving us the opportunity to ‘pay it forward’
