Emma has been an avid supporter of A Life in a Day since it’s inception.
“I have always been picky about offering my skills to industries where I can do good, having worked in industries promoting charity, UK trade, and education. The Method and A Life in a Day work to empower individuals and companies alike and I can proudly say I am part of it all.”
The company values of be kind, be sharp and ahead, are values I am proud to align myself with and want to contribute to the remarkable change in patient centricity the company offers.
“I was intrigued by the A Life in a Day app but also by the mysterious acting techniques used in The Method. It seemed to combine both the right career level and an increasing curiosity around the brilliant ideas generating the business activities.”
“I am always looking at ways to improve the tech side of the business. I enjoy the ability to work independently and the fact there is no glass ceiling.”
“I joined the team because this seems like a company in which I can make people’s lives a little easier by helping their family understand their problems better. Communication and understanding are two of the most important things in the world but can also be difficult.”
“I found myself working as a Pharma/Healthcare Account Manager before taking on The Method as a client. I was so amazed by the A Life in a Day experience and loved working with the team, so when I found out they were hiring a writer, I jumped at the opportunity and have been here ever since! I’ve met some truly incredible and inspiring people over the years who I never would have had the chance to interact with outside of my work.”
“Being involved with The Method as a patient was a cathartic and empowering experience that left me feeling listened to and, for the first time, unashamed of my condition. When the opportunity came up to join the team, and be part of developing something that had such a huge impact on my life, I grabbed it.”
“I love how this company, and the role, merges creativity with medicine. Additionally, it is great to be able to join a company where I know the work we do every day matters and makes a difference.”
Purely and simply, I joined The Method to not only create great experiences, but to create experiences that make a difference.
‘A Life in a Day’ continually surprises me with its capacity to inspire and influence both perception and behavioural change. If – in my small way – I can contribute to the kind of change that makes patients’ lives even just a little better, I am surely in the right place.
A close friend of mine participated in the A Life in a Day CKD experience earlier in the year and raved about it. It was unlike anything that I’d heard of and I immediately knew this was what I wanted to be part of. When a vacancy arose, I jumped at the opportunity.
“I am extremely passionate about the client liaison and logistics planning to make the experience a huge success and memorable experience for the participants. Hearing what we delivered was like nothing they have ever done and will have that lasting impression is very satisfying.”
“I have always found the behaviour of individuals interesting and my degree in psychology allowed me to explore this further. What absolutely fascinates me about the programme we offer are the emotional reactions we see from people who take part. The feedback is truly inspiring and thought-provoking! It’s not just an experience to help you understand more about a condition, it increases empathy and the desire to make a positive change.“
“Trying A Life in a Day, I was blown away with the level of creativity in disease simulation and the exceptional attention to detail which changed my perception about chronic diseases given that I have been trying to do something similar but much simpler for my teams in the past to get our promise of patient centricity to life. And after I met the team, I realised that here is exactly where I should be.”
“I have a strong belief that anyone that has direct or indirect contact with patients needs to fully understand the emotional impact of a life limiting condition and A Life in a Day helps you to do exactly that. I love the ethos of the company: Be Kind, Be Smart, Be Ahead – we truly live by those standards.”
“Knowing that we are delivering a learning product that truly changes how people think, speak, feel and ultimately act is incredibly motivating. We have learning experience that we can deliver, anywhere in the world, at any time, in multiple languages that can and does improve patient lives by increasing empathy is an amazing reason to get up everyday and make it happen.”
“I created A Life in a Day in 2015 from a desire to help make patients’ lives better. Using my background in theatre and film, my team and I designed A Life in a Day with the purpose of evoking greater empathy for patients within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries – I believe this is the key to unlocking effective patient-centric ways of working.”
